Purpose of the Position
To advance the Kingdom revolution of Jesus by coordinating Engedi finances.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Deeply committed follower of Jesus
- Affirms Engedi’s core beliefs, mission, and life practices by word and example
- Effective administrative skills – including the ability to set goals, facilitate advance planning and effectively manage ministry and personal schedules
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Aligns with Engedi’s vision to connect with people of varying ethnic and economic backgrounds
- Team player – humble, willing to defer to others, can lead under direction
- Is a partner of Engedi or is willing to become one upon joining staff
- Tithes and is competent with personal finances
- Is in a CABLE (small) group or is willing to become a part of one upon joining staff
- Gifted with numbers and attention to detail
- Competent learning evolving information technology applications
- Specific accounting experience is desired, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process daily electronic giving transactions
- Process weekly contributions and deposits
- Pay vendors, manage recurring bills, and write checks as needed
- Work with vendors and financial institutions to solve problems and refine processes
- Assist reconciliation of monthly credit card process for all staff
- Prepares weekly reports for the Lead Pastor
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly staff meetings (2nd Monday of the month)
- Participate in most staff prayer meetings (every Monday)
- Participate in most Worship Nights
- Attend staff retreats (twice annually, one of which is overnight)
Essential Details
- Part-time, 20 hours/week position including vacation and personal days, cell phone reimbursement, subsidized onsite daycare at Holland Campus, and matching 403b contributions
- Reports to Facilities & Operations Director
